For legal and safety reasons, medications can’t be returned once they leave the pharmacy. Even if unopened, they can’t be accepted for return by us, the pharmacy that delivered your medication, or anyone else. The only option would be to dispose of the medication.
Typically, you can safely dispose of medications at authorized drop-off sites like participating pharmacies or police stations. If that’s not an option, the FDA provides a list of medications that are safe to flush or throw away at home. See the FDA drug disposal and flush list for more information.
